Senior Data Engineer / Developer (m/f/d)

MY DUTIES:

- Manage BI Data assets during the integration of two companies with two databases
- Monitor, maintain and help to decommission/renovate data assets
- Supporting processes used for AI/ML domain (training statistical models) and supporting campaign activities
- Design and development of new data assets
- Oversight of third party deliveries
- Ensure smooth transition to internal employees starting

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience building and maintaining complex data assets used in BI organization
- Excellent SQL skills are necessary (data assets to be maintained are on Oracle database, know-how of Teradata is a plus)
- Excellent skills and know how in data management domain
- Needs to be able to comfortably navigate complex SQL logic and database processes under little guidance
- Be able to infer and manage object dependencies
- Be able to summarize and explain findings to non-technical audience
- Experience in gathering and structure business requirements, translate it into technical implementation with little guidance
- Experience in monitoring and managing quality of data assets
- Position requires a person to be working from Switzerland (to ensure required data access can be granted)
- Fluent in English, German is a big plus
- Proactive attitude and friendliness is a big plus
- Experience in building/maintaining modelling pipelines to support machine learning engines
- Good knowledge of best practices in data architecture and data engineering
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, GCP (Google cloud platform), Hadoop is a plus
- Professional experience in telecommunication domain
- Experience in BI organization e.g. working as a data anylst
