Senior Backend Developer Job

SENIOR BACKEND DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Ramon, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Five (5) years of Back End experience
- Backend web technologies
- Bachelors CS or related discipline
- RESTful APIs and JSON

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Responsible for the technical development of the Back End layers of key web platforms and mobile apps
- Responsible for the hands-on development using the latest Back End technologies (eg NodeJS, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Riak and Cassandra)
- Design and implement RESTful web services using JSON
- Partner and work closely with the Front End development team for seamless integration

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience building large-scale, enterprise-wide web applications
- At least five (5) years of professional experience working with Back End web technologies (one or more): NodeJS, MongoDB, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Riak
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience implementing RESTful web services using JSON (preferably using a JAX-RS compliant framework - eg Jersey)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with Dropwizard, Play is a plus
- Knowledge of common build tools (eg Maven, Gradle)
- Energetic, out of the box, technical innovator who will bring their expertise along with a keen drive to learn new technologies
- Keen focus toward consistency and attention to detail primarily related toward coding standards
