Senior Automation Specialist - Linux, Puppet

ABOUT THE COMPANY/POSITION:

Cloud managed Service Company requires an Automation Specialist to join there Architecture team. This is a unique role requiring the an Infrastructure and Scripting expert to help achieve Architecture team objectives by improving the way they pull information required for Architecture design documents thorough Automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist the Cloud Architecture Manager with improving information gathering methods for producing design documents.
- Provide support to align IT hosting's Services manager(s) to ensure quality infrastructure & platform solution deliverables, content and outcomes.
- Lead solution design and development of automation initiatives.
- Undertake lead role in proactive resolution of system related problems.
- Gather information to assist in the analysis of client business requirements.
- Improve Cloud Environment and the way things are implemented
- Under direction, utilises a proven technology to plan, organise, design, install, operate and maintain complex systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience in Complex Enterprise Environments - preferably in Cloud
- Various script remediation and process automation experience
- Experience with different Automation tools
- Extensive Linux experience
- Expert level Scripting skills: Bash, Python, Ruby, VB, Powershell...
- Virtualisation experience
