Senior Architect - Financial Services - Zurich

ROLE:

Our client, based in Zurich, is seeking a Senior Architect to play a key role in implementing workplace strategy to support the mobility and geographical flexibility of our workforce.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

- Investigate and develop innovative methods of exploiting client computing technologies in line with our needs.
- Develop proposals accordingly, clearly articulating benefits and cost.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging workplace technology trends and developments; monitor outcomes of research work
- Carry out prototyping, proofs of concept, and technology and/or product evaluation
- Define and communicate core user focused design concepts through to implementation level

MAIN COMPETENCIES

- Excellent understanding of workplace, new technologies and concepts, and how they integrate
- Experience in working with vendor roadmaps and their potential impact on technical landscapes
- Ability to focus on the user's perspective
- Ability to place tactical steps in the context of the long term vision in challenging situations
- Willing to continuously learn and embrace new topics
- Ability to observe and analyse trends and make recommendations
- Pragmatic and be able to provide leadership in workplace solutions

REQUIREMENTS:

- University degree or higher level qualification, preferably in software development
- 5+ years working in software development and implementation
- Excellent understanding of workplace technology trends
- Fluent English is a MUST (German or French an advantage)
- Highly motivated
- Enjoy working in an international environment and across teams
