SAP BI/BW Consultant/Contract/Immediate Start

EDT Global are currently working with an established organisation based in Sydney that are looking to engage an experience SAP BI/BW Consultant on a contract basis

THIS WILL BE AN INITIAL 3MTHS

We need someone with detailed functional knowledge of SAP BI/BW, preferably in BI 7, with extensive experience in collecting business requirements and developing functional specifications.

Extensive experience in the design of reporting processes and/or in supporting a warehouse application within a large project or very large organisation.

SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:

- Providing expert advice on BI/BW system functionality and configuration within SAP software, specifically in all front and Back End BW objects and tools such as Query/Report/Web Application Designer, and BEX Analyser, (including relevant training to maintain expertise).
- Providing effective high quality SAP BW functional support, incorporating the resolution of assigned incidents, problems and service requests.
- Maintaining and enforcing excellence in standards and execution in the gathering, analysis, development and testing of changes deployed to meet business requirements.
- Being accountable to, and engaged with, internal and external stakeholders in relation to the provision of advice and support, system availability, performance and security.
- Suggesting, developing, maintaining and enforcing continuous improvement to standard procedures and processes, internally within the team and externally to their stakeholders, in accordance with SAP and the companies standards.

SPECIALIST SAP FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

- Extensive experience in data analysis and statistical methods;
- Extensive technical background in data warehouse Datamodelling and ETTL process;
- Extensive experience with development, configuration and troubleshooting of new data sources, info sources, master data, info objects and info cubes with a strong background in SQL
- Proven ability to manage multiple individual and team priorities with competing deadlines.
- Knowledge of ITIL and/or SAP methodologies and tools, preferably including Solution Manager with a strong support background, including end user support, system configuration, testing and a good understanding of the change process in a SAP environment.
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills, with experience in meeting strict deadlines and service standards in high volume, high pressure work environments with minimal supervision
- Excellent technical documentation skills, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with experience dealing with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional manner
- Aside from the above, any exposure to SAP core ECC modules will be highly valued; SAP SD, MM, FICO
