Our Scottish Risk Assurance practice is a dynamic and successful team that delivers internal and external audit, IT Assurance, Project Assurance, risk management advice and controls assurance across all sectors. The overall team comprises of 3 Partners and 6 Directors and over 50 professional staff. 
Due to demand in all sectors in Scotland we are looking to recruit a Manager into our IT & Project Assurance team who has a strong security and risk background which reflects the needs our clients.

 

About the role

 

The PwC Risk Assurance team takes pride in helping clients to identify, measure and manage their risks more effectively. 

Our Risk Assurance specialists offer knowledge and expertise, which extends to clients&rsquo internal controls (including IT systems), technology, non-financial reporting, corporate social responsibility and regulatory compliance. In addition to supporting the external financial audit, our specialists also provide a variety of internal audit services. Since our expertise spans a wide range of industries and sectors, on each and every project we undertake the advice and assurance we offer can be focused on the individual needs of that client.

Businesses constantly make decisions based on the data held within their IT systems.  As systems become more complex and integral to the operation and direction of the business, the importance of understanding the underlying data and information generated has never been greater.  The Data Assurance team work with clients and audit teams to better understand and analyse their data for numerous and varied purposes.

The type of work is varied, from supporting an audit to helping a company to better understand its internet traffic or remodelling a utility company&rsquos billing processes.

As a Manager, you will provide important Risk Assurance support including:                                                        
&bull Leading various teams
&bull Managing and building day-to-day client relationships 
&bull Staff management and coaching responsibilities 
&bull Contributing to development of new business relationships and business proposals 
&bull Managing a relevant client portfolio/s

 

Requirements

 

The following skills are required for this role:

Essential Skills  

&bull Have a relevant professional qualification  
&bull A proven track record of experience in the data systems, management and projects  
&bull Be experienced in coaching and developing other members of staff  
&bull Be able to demonstrate that you are comfortable leading teams and willing to proactively contribute to the team  
&bull Have the ability to develop client relationships  
&bull Have an understanding of business operations and the technology that support them
&bull Strong analytical skills and organisational abilities
&bull Clear, articulate and confident written and verbal communication skills
&bull Well developed listening and questioning techniques
&bull Be output focused and able to work autonomously without day-to-day supervision

 

Desirable Skills  

&bull Experience of project and financial management
&bull Strong presentation and report writing skills
