Risk Analyst Job

RISK ANALYST is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Melbourne, FL.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Management Insurance, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Financial experience in a corporate risk management or brokerage environment

THE BIG PICTURE:

- The Risk Analyst will prepare and submit the annual operating plans and year-end forecasts to Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis for the Aviation, Executive Risks, Global Transit, Property and Casualty insurance programs.
- In addition, the Risk Analyst will collect and submit the insurance underwriting data to the insurance brokers for policy placements.
- After policies are in place, the Risk Analyst will allocate domestic insurance premiums to 10 plus company entities and assist with determining foreign premium allocations.
- Additional accounting responsibilities include managing the prepaid insurance accounts, preparing quarter-end reconciliations, closing-out accounts at year-end and supporting Government incurred cost audits.
- Additional insurance responsibilities include attending broker meetings and participating in insurance renewal strategy discussions, participating in claim reviews with the insurance carriers, reviewing insurance contract language, and obtaining certificates of insurance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Prepare annual operating plans and year-end forecasts for all lines of risk insurance.
- Prepare the forward pricing rate proposal package for Contract Compliance.
- Collect and submit the risk exposures for all lines of risk insurance.
- Review and approve insurance invoices for payment.
- Allocate insurance premiums to the department entities.
- Monitor department expenses and report monthly variances.
- Manage the prepaid insurance accounts and quarter-end reconciliations.
- Close-out prepaid insurance accounts at year-end.
- Assist with internal/external audits.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS/BA in Risk Management Insurance, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Three to five (3-5) years of financial experience preferably in a corporate risk management or brokerage environment.
- Knowledge of insurance concepts, policies and practices.
- Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills.

- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PeopleSoft with Hyperion are a plus.
