Research Associate Job

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

The Big Picture:
- The candidate will be working as a part of a team that is responsible for the planning and execution of pre-clinical drug development studies (including pharmacokinetic and toxicology) supporting a large customer base.
- Requires animal handling.
- WILL INVOLVE WORK WITH RADIOACTIVE, CHEMOTHERAPEUTIC, OR OTHER POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS COMPOUNDS FOLLOWING TRAINING AND WITH SUPERVISION.

What You'll Be Doing:
- A temp position in the In Vivo Studies Group in Safety Assessment.
- Responsibilities will include the following to support Research Associates in the preparation for and technical conduct of in vivo studies:
- Pre-study paperwork tube labeling lab set up sample collection lab/sterile supply restocking data entry
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable performing some repetitive tasks such as pipetting and labeling tubes.
- Must be comfortable working in a highly interactive team setting and as such must exhibit excellent collaborative skills within their team and with stakeholders.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Able to work in a fast-paced, highly interactive team environment.
- Previous in vivo experience required particularly with rodent models.
- Medical Surveillance Required:
- Respirator Wearer
- Laboratory Animal Worker
- Blood borne Pathogens (MRSA, influenza)

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Biological Sciences or related field preferred.
