RESEARCH ASSOCIATE needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in South San Francisco, CA.

- Must have hands-on experience on GE AKTA FPLC instruments and purification

What You'll Be Doing:

- The Research Associate will support therapeutic antibody projects by performing protein purification and QC characterization.
- S/he will be responsible to perform milligram to gram scale protein purification using affinity chromatography, ion exchange and size exclusion methods in AKTA FPLC systems.
- S/he will perform protein analysis using SDS-PAGE, HPLC, SEC-MALS and intact mass spectrometry.
- S/he will be responsible to record purification process in electronic format and report results to teams. - S/he will work in a fast paced core functional group to deliver high quality antigens and antibodies within expected timeline.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- The Research Associate must have hands-on experience on GE AKTA FPLC instruments, and purification operation by affinity chromatography and gel filtration.
- Proficiency in protein electrophoresis, Western blot and spectrometry is essential. Detail-oriented, quick learning and multitasking skills are required.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- BS/MS in Biochemistry or relevant discipline
- HPLC and biophysical characterization experience are preferred.
