COMMUNICATION MANAGER - 12 MONTHS - EDINBURGH

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER who has previously worked at programme level with CHANGE MANAGEMENT experience. This post is initially for 12 months with a possible 11 months extension.

You will be required to produce clear, persuasive and accessible communication products for programme staff and provide realistic advice to senior management, focusing on strategic outcomes. You should also have an excellent understanding of the role of communications as a strategic business tool.

You will be responsible for managing change and continuous improvement having to deal with resistance on occasion.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS - - Experience of working in a communications role in a complex programme environment
- Ability to present your views persuasively and confidently to senior colleagues
- Digital communications knowledge and experience Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of developing and implementing communications strategy
- Experience of developing communications collateral
- Devise creative ways of improving communications across the programme

DESIRABLE SKILLS - - Knowledge of Scotland's rural sector and the Common Agricultural Policy
- Experience of stakeholder engagement
- An understanding of IT terminology

Candidates will be expected to hold a valid Basic Disclosure Scotland issued in the last 12 months or be happy to undergo this clearance.
