Start Date: Beginning of April
Contract duration: long-term contract
Introduction
Our client is one of the leading telecommunications company in Belgium and a market leader in a number of areas, including retail and wholesale fixed-line telephony services, mobile communications services and broadband data and Internet services.
Mission
The company will do the virtualization of the company's network infrastructure from IP solutions to Core network and software platform. This is a huge project deployment planned for the next 2 years.
They need an expert/'gourou'/solutions problem manager who will help them into this huge transformation. They are currently designing the roadmap before to start the project. Therefore, they are looking first for an Expert Project or Program manager who will help them into the roadmap definition, the technical AND functional challenges they will be facing.
The company wish to build their own cloud environment (such like you are using your smart phone: the devices/hardware is yours but you "buy & add & rent" applications following your need evolution.) It will allow to the company to do not buy anymore the platform but only the software.
The team will have to adapt their skills within this new virtualized environment, evolve and gain new competences. The PM may have to accompany those team. Those technologies are a 'MUST HAVE' for the 5G deployment (2021).
The Program Manager will touch as well to the deployment of monitoring layers/orchestration.
Required skills:
-Ideally you have similar Virtualization experience management within Telecom sector.
- Working knowledge about the ONAP platform
-Aware about automated testing management
-Dimensioning
-English
