Currently we are looking for a Professional Project Coordinator and Test Manager to join our client's team in Basel.

Background

One of the goals of the New new project is to establish a flexible, powerful, and future-oriented platform for research project data analysis. A research project typically consists of several dozen experimental assays (research results), several hundred to thousands of chemical substances and has defined standard layouts (eg how data is arranged and visualized in a spreadsheet or in charts). The new project data analysis application should serve as a hub for all day-to-day activities around project data for currently 500 users and needs to be integrated into the existing landscape. It will replace the currently used application.

The project will implement a commercial software solution with an external provider in a phased roll-out approach over the course of 2016 and beginning of 2017. This software shall replace the current internal solution which does not fulfil the user needs anymore. The software solution will have to fulfil the needs of a broad diverse scientific user community as well as specific technical requirements (eg around access management and diverse integration points).

The Position

With immediate effect we are looking to fill a Full time combined position of a project coordinator and test manager to support the new project during the implementation phase.

The project coordinator and test manager will
support the project management office in all administrative duties and tasks
support the project stream leads and project team members
support the project acceptance testing team
maintain the project documentation and project plan
maintain risk and benefits registers
project tracking (budget, resources, timelines, deliverables, changes, decisions)
prepare project documents (communications, presentations)
organize meetings and meeting facilities
organize trainings and training facilities
prepare and participate in project management office meetings
participate in project meetings and write minutes
follow-up on action items and tasks
coordinate activities across project streams and with external vendor
write test specifications with a diverse group of Subject Matter Experts
organize training facilities (approx. 50 sessions on 2-3 sites)
prepare and maintain training schedules (for approx. 500 users on 2-3 sites)
organize UAT (User Acceptance Testing) facilities (for 3 cycles of UAT on 2-3 sites)
coordinate UAT attendees (approx. 20 attendees)
coordinate UAT execution (on 2-3 sites)
document UAT outcomes
follow-up with project team, testers, and external vendor

Requirements
minimum of 2 years' experience and a track record in successfully coordinating large, complex research IT projects
minimum of 2 years' experience in successfully implementing and executing deployments of software solutions to a diverse user community
several years of experience and a track record in development and execution of user acceptance tests
broad knowledge of project and test coordination and management including corresponding methods and software tools
good understanding of early pharmaceutical research
ability to plan, prioritize, and manage tasks independently and reliably deliver according to agreed timelines
excellent administrative and facilitation skills
significant experience in working across cultures and time zones
excellent communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
navigates flexibly between detail-oriented work and high-level abstract thinking
quick learner and an excellent team player
able to work in a dynamic customer oriented environment
