Production Technician Job

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Newark, DE

THE BIG PICTURE- TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- One (1) - two (2) years manufacturing experience
- Requires flexibility, initiative, and self-confidence in reaching resolution to problems in a timely fashion
- Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive steps to avoid adverse impact on quality and delivery
- Excellent communication skills are expected as the technicians will be required to resolve issues promptly through network of team members throughout the site
- The technician is required as an individual to engage in a wide range of tasks to support the area with includes:
- Experience operating of presses, with ability to stand for extended periods of time, lifting pans-overhead, bending, and working at an inclined angle
- Perform lifting of tooling weighing not over 40 lbs
- Ability to perform office work involving some data entry, which might require sitting for periods of time
- Perform lifting/packing of parts, requiring to handle packages weighing less than or equal to 20 lbs
- Experience with parts production checks which will involve frequent walking around work station and some stair climbing
- Perform inspection of parts requiring extended sitting and bench work
- Ability to lift bags/totes of resin weighing up to 27 lbs
- Maintain and keep up of general housekeeping

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Manufactures parts in accordance with safety, quality and production best practices and requirements
- Monitors and operates production equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedure
- Performs minor maintenance functions within the operating area and within level of expertise.
- Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary
- This position is required to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift schedules are subject to change as determined by business and production needs

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Strong mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Good interpersonal, verbal and writing skills
- Ability to read and comprehend Standard Practice documents and other written instructions
- Good attendance record and demonstrated reliability
- Background check and drug screen required before start
