Production Team Leader Job

PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in MILWAUKEE, WI. For the right candidate this position could become permanent.

- This is a second (2nd) shift position
- Leadership - Supervise a manufacturing functional team which fully utilizes resources to meet the scheduled activities of the Manufacturing Group
- Cultivate a winning manufacturing attitude and creative work environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Supervise approximately 22 Production Associates, 3 Maintenance Repair personnel and 2 Electricians
- Manage the training, development and performance of team members.
- Monitor and improve productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner.
- Track and report metrics in functional area to include labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, capacity and customer complaints
- Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
- Establish team goals that meet or exceed established quality standards
- Develop and create training plans to maximize workforce capability
- Work with other managers throughout manufacturing to generate continuous improvement ideas and spearheads the implementation of those ideas that lead to bottom line results

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years production, supply chain experience or leadership or High School diploma/GED and seven (7) years production or supply chain experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.
