Product Controller/Financial Controller - Treasury

My client, a leading UK banking institution, is looking for an experienced, proactive and confident Product Controller/Financial controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Proven experience or good knowledge of banking book accounting.
- An excellent understanding of the balance sheet (Debits and Credits) and the relationship with the Profit and loss accounts.
- Products knowledge (understanding the products and their booking and accounting) of bonds, loans and deposits, interest rate and currency swaps along with other derivatives trading.
- Strong Excel and Good Access skills- to support and underpin the above in terms of reconciliation, investigation and explanation of movements in P
- Strong technical accounting understanding around the treatment of the products and related disclosure around capital;
- Qualified accountant (preferred)
- Ability to manage others (depending on experience, coaching & reviewing the work of others may form part of the role)
- SAP, Oracle GL, Business Objects Query Tool, MS Access and Excel
