Product Controller/Trade Support

My client, an investment bank in London, requires acandidate to join the operations team. The role will be varied and demanding a strong product knowledge across asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, FX and OTC) with a focus on implementing strong controls environment. Adding to this the team requires someone with exceptional knowledge of OTC Options.

The role will allow the right individual to gain exposure to all post-trade matters such as trade booking, settlements and OTC margin to daily product control, month end NAV sign-off, investor queries and year end audit.

Duties (to include, but not limited to):

*Trade booking

*Trade settlement / failed trades

*daily cash reconciliation

*daily position reconciliation

*OTC trade confirmations

*Margin checking

*Margin cash flow requests

*Portfolio risk monitoring and reporting

*Counterparty exposure monitoring/analysis

*Process improvement and efficiency gains

*Daily profit and loss reporting

*Month end process; p&l reconciliation, fund accounting, portfolio valuation

*Establishing new execution, clearing and custody arrangements

*Developing and implementing new processes and controls

*ad-hoc tasks as required

Other preferred experience/skillsets

*Understanding/experience of Emerging and/or illiquid markets

*Broad product knowledge equities, fixed income, OTC's

*Understanding of settlements, operations, PL Reporting

*Numerate

*Excellent communication skills

*Self starter

*IT / spreadsheet skills
