Global Business Services (GBS) operates as a centre of excellence and provides a host of solutions across the global franchise including Documentation, Settlements, Middle Office, Risk and Profit and Loss (P&L) and Financial Control support to the Global Credit Trading business as well as other product lines across GM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall, you will be responsible for the daily Risk and P&L production and verification within the Structured Exotic Credit Hybrids Risk and P&L production team, including support for the plethora of change requests in various forms. The business is dynamic and fast paced with a portfolio of structured credit products which include Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) and Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDOs). The infrastructure supporting the Risk and P&L production for the business is complex.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Daily Risk and P&L production and verification through detailed analysis of new deals and their Greeks.
- Configuration of Exotic Trades, pricing and risk dictionaries into the Risk and P&L calculation engines.
- Calculation of the closeout reserves using a risk based approach
- Analysing business requirements for new products, ranging from front-to-back IT infrastructure to business process changes.
- Running ad hoc projects relating to system, process and infrastructure enhancements. Continuous development and maintenance of a strong control framework surrounding the risk and P&L process
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

YOU WILL HAVE:

- Prior Product Control/Risk experience, ideally within credit derivatives or other complex/exotic derivative area.
- A proven ability in executing strategy and implementing key deliverables.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good cultural awareness and the ability to manage stakeholders across locations.
- Good stakeholder management skills.

YOU WILL BE:

- Degree qualified or equivalent
- A Qualified Accountant or equivalent
- Hands on and ready to handle administrative tasks such as crisis response documentation.
- Methodical, logical and thorough with a structured approach to tasks and the ability to break down complex problems into their core components.
- Enthusiastic with an interest in products and markets.
- A control focused individual with an excellent attention to detail.
- A team player with an open-minded approach to sharing information and transferring knowledge and expertise amongst team members
