PROCESS DEVELOPMENT CHEMIST

LOCATION: MACCLESFIELD

CONTRACT DURATION: 11 MONTHS

REMUNERATION: COMPETITIVE

THE ROLE:

Process Development Chemists will be part of the Pharmaceutical Development team

The Process Development Chemist is responsible for:

- Executing lab development work as a member of a cross functional team
- Contributing to the development of API manufacturing process for clinical and longer-term commercial manufacturers

(The current portfolio provides a range of early, mid, late and commercial development)

- Process development and scale up risks
- Use of appropriate analytical techniques to support development chemistry activities specification.

REQUIREMENTS -EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- PhD in Chemistry or an experienced graduate in Organic Chemistry
- Previous experience of Process Development. At minimum a good understanding of process development and scale up risks
- A good understanding of the principles and application of SHE
- A good understanding of developments within the industry and how they impact the function
- Capability to use appropriate analytical techniques to support development chemistry activities
- Able to demonstrate the drive and energy to deliver projects
- Ability to design and develop high quality, scalable processes
- A strong interest in Organic Chemistry and the application to the delivery of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API)
