Practice Development Facilitator - Therapy

Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

Based: Stowmarket- Suffolk

Salary range: 25,783 - 34,530

Suffolk Community Healthcare is an innovative and transforming provider of community health services within Suffolk.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated band 6 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to take on the newly created role of Practice Development Facilitator at Suffolk Community Healthcare..

The post holder will work as part of the learning and development function and will focus primarily upon maintaining staff development of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in clinical practice within the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Working in close collaboration with the service managers, senior clinicians and professional leadto ensure support and supervision for staff engaging in CPD / educational
* programmes
* Working closely with Higher Education Institutes to ensure that Suffolk Community Healthcare maximises the number of student Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who can be supportedwithin clinical practice areas
* Ensuring that the student experience is of the highest quality and enables the greatest benefit from the individual clinical learning experience.
* Responsibility for maintaining the register of practice educators (ACE / APPLE accredited) and developing close working partnership with PEFs.
* Work closely with the professional lead to ensure that the latest NICE guidelines and evidence based practise are understood and employed by the therapists within Suffolk Community Healthcare.
* Work in conjunction with the service managers and lead clinicians on staff development issues
* To contribute to a culture of a learning organisation by being a participative member of the Quality and Governance team that looks for development and improvement opportunity.

Essential skills

* HCPC registration OT/Physiotherapist
* 1st Degree
* At least 5years experience as a band 6 therapist in community care

This role will be for an initial 12 month fixed term contract which may be made permanent
