PMO MANAGER

ROLE

To support Programme Manager in the delivery of the programme plan and deliverables.  Provide administrative assistance to the programme team

DUTIES

- Planning programme/project development and helping others to plan effectively to achieve long term goals.
- Identifying potential programme/project problems and risks and issues, overcoming these problems and escalating where necessary.
- Benefits management, ensuring documentation is correctly completed to cover the outcomes of benefits expected to be achieved from programmes.
- Compiling information and creating monthly dashboard reports for Senior Responsible Owners (SRO's) on current programmes and the milestones and risks involved with them.
- Collating information from numerous programmes/projects and people, managing this to provide an overall picture of how programmes/projects are progressing.
- Managing people, both direct reports and related to the programme/project that the role holder is involved with, to ensure key tasks are being dealt with.
- Recording of minutes for monthly programme/project meetings and meetings chaired by SROs and making sure that all action points have been actioned.
- Assisting in the completion of tasks within a programme to ensure they meet deadlines.
- Providing support either through knowledge, ability or manpower and taking on roles where necessary for an indeterminate amount of time.

EXPERIENCE

- Experience of supporting the delivery of programmes and projects with high complexity, risks against strategic outcomes with many and varied interested stakeholders.
- Proficient in a broad range of Project Management support skills and techniques.
- Experience in programme and project documents such as business cases, PIDs and reporting preferably using dashboards
- Experience of monitoring large and complex budgets
- Experience in use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio, and Niku Clarity.
- Knowledge of OGC, Gatewy reviews and other health checks.
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Line management experience

Ideally Prince 2 qualified.
