Oracle Database Administator Job

ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR needed for CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in NISKAYUNA, NY

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Security and network administration
- Backup and recovery rman, exp, expdp
- Database creation, upgrade and patch management.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform the upgrade/patch/migration of all Oracle databases (~113) to the latest version of 11gR2 or 12c. The databases will be moving from physical Servers to virtual machines (VMWare). During this process, reduce the total number of databases to simplify maintenance.
- Configure exp/expdp and/or rman scripts for each new database.
- Configure Oracle Enterprise Manager clients for various databases.
- Migration of production instances may involve weekend work

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Proven experience in Oracle Database Administration including:
- Security and network administration
- Backup and recovery rman, exp, expdp
- Database creation, upgrade and patch management.
- Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise manager 12c Cloud Control
