Operations Manager

Practicus are working with a leading laboratory-based testing group who are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to come on board and provide a platform for future growth.

Providing technically demanding laboratory based testing solutions you'll be working in our clients largest Laboratory with around 40 staff reporting into you.

The client is looking for a calm and rational person to join this site, ideally with an extensive history in operational efficiency and in On Time Delivery (OTD) within a laboratory environment.

You will be charged with improving the sites current overall turnaround within 3 months.

At the same time a full site analysis, from an operational efficiency prospective needs to be carried out to fully understand the current state and future capabilities of the site especially cantered around On Time Delivery (OTD) and improving the operational conversion rate.

Once you have identified process, quality and general efficiency gains you will then be required to implement these without effecting the integrity of the testing facility and without compromising on quality. This must be done in order to achieve, match and ideally succeed client expectations and KPI's by the end of month 6.

Whilst improving the sites Processes and Conversion rate, ideally with a lean and pragmatic approach, you'll be charged with re-engaging a highly technical and accomplished team. Getting engagement from across the business for the operational improvements and getting staff turnover under control is another integral part of the role.

Experience required:
* You'll have an extensive background in Laboratory turnaround both in overall operational efficency and On Time Delivery (OTD)
* A Good Understanding of Chemical quality control Processes
* A history of Operational Management within a highly technical Laboratory environment
* Experience of Staff engagement and stabilisation in combination with building a platform for future growth
