For our client a major in utilities we are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer for projects implementation
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer. The main task will be to implement projects and be a reference in his/her technical domain for other engineers and architects.
This engineer will work in a multi-discipline team in projects mainly for one of our big 'outsourcing' customer. This is a challenging client who requires solution up and running 24/7 and in multi technologies.
The tasks and responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer are:
To get E2E understanding of the infrastructure at the customer - in networking and security areas
For simple projects or part of more complex projects and with the help of the "Integration Design Leads"
To understand the needs of the customer
To identify the components of the solution and to draft a high level design
To write the official "Request for Changes"
To implement the solution and test it
To document and make hand over for your colleagues
To be the problem owner of operational problems in networking and security
To understand and document the issue
To investigate and find the root cause (possibly with the help of colleagues with more expertise or in other technology domains)
To find a workaround or solution and to document it
To understand and comply with the processes and rules for the customer
Processes ITIL for incidents, problems, changes and release
Security, confidentiality, access to production sites
When needed to go on site (all over Belgium) to implement projects and changes, to investigate problems or to solve incidents
To be part of a pool of engineers for the 24/7 guard for Security.
To proactively suggest improvements in solutions for projects, operations, processes
Profile
Experience of more than 3 years in Network Security.
Plus for the candidature:
Switching and routing
Checkpoint or Juniper Firewalls
Experience with Firewalls, daily management (Checkpoint Provider-1) and migration projects
Knowledge of these technologies: Bluecoat Proxy, IronPort, F5 (LTM/ASM/GTM), Cisco Nexus
Flexible
Good knowledge in (Dutch or French) and English
