Network Security Architect - Symantec

NETWORK SECURITY ARCHITECT - SYMANTEC

Our client based in Eindhoven, is looking for a Network Security Architect - Symantec experience, for a long-term project with a large manufacturing client.

The candidate will have Cisco CCIE certificate routing and Switching or equivalent experience (CCIE) and you will have Extensive knowledge and experience of Core Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting

You will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, organization and operation of Firewalls based perimeter security network and network security devices including but not limited to 7000, 5000 and 3000 series Pala Alto FW's. The job also involves simultaneously working on the successful engineering, testing and deployment of multiple projects. Providing LAN Management Service for Remotely monitored and administered FW's for over 400 locations throughout the Country.

- EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF CISCO AND JUNIPER PRODUCTS AND BEST PRACTICES IN:
- Routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
- Spanning-tree, VTP, Port Channels, Load balancing, SPAN
- Multicast PIM Sparse/Dense, MSDP
- NAT
- Symantec Experience, Security
- QoS understanding and configuration, able to customize across all Cisco platforms to support Voice, Video, and selected applications
- VPN (SSL and IPSEC)
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Network Security, including design, configuration, and tuning
- Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, ASA Firewalls and FWSMs - NAT, ACL configuration, IPSec and SSL VPN
- MPLS traffic engineering design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- ISIS, LDP, TDP, RSVP Label distribution
- MPBGP-VPNv4, Multi-VRF and VRF-Lite
- Nexus 2K, 5k, 7K configuration and design
- Application and WAN Optimization appliance design and configuration
- Design and implement of data, voice, and/or video network infrastructures.
- Responsible for implementing complex projects (any "first time" builds)
- Core or Internet infrastructures, acceptance testing of new hardware and software.
- Able to expertly troubleshoot at tier 3.
