Network Implementation Engineer Job

NETWORK IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Overland Park, KS.

NIGHT SHIFT POSITION (SUNDAY THRU THURSDAY 10:00PM - 6:00AM CT)

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSES

- Telecommunications background
- Cisco and/or Juniper operating system knowledge
- IP routing protocols - OSPF/BGP, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Assist in developing test plans and test moderately complex new feature functionality which provides new products and services, and includes items which enhance systems flexibility, reliability and maintainability.
- Perform moderately complex integration and regression testing on new software.
- Manage moderately complex software patch testing and applications.
- Provide first level assistance for trouble resolution.
- Assist to review software/vendor documentation to ensure feature functionality requirements are delivered.
- Perform billing test validations.
- Perform interoperability testing.
- Follow and execute test schedules and test plans. Ensure assigned testing system problems are documented, assigned, communicated, and appropriately resolved. Verify that all scheduled processing is completed in accordance with schedules.
- Assist with implementation of new application systems and software into the testing environments.
- Perform code migration, versioning and standards verification in the testing environment.
- Assist with ensuring all impacted organizations are coordinated with and represented.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Working knowledge of Cisco GSR/CRS and Juniper MX80/240/960 operating system and hardware.
- Must be familiar with BGP/ISIS routing
- Must be familiar with route-map/policy routing on XR code.
- Must be able to use a MOP or write one, and Cisco CMA tool
- Must be detail oriented, and be able to write a report of issues encountered pre/post migration.
