Network Consultant (Design and Migration for LAN/WAN)

NETWORK CONSULTANT (DESIGN AND MIGRATION FOR LAN/WAN)

A TECHNICAL CONSULTANT IS REQUIRED TO BE BASED IN ESSEX FOR AN URGENT CONTRACT PAYING £400 PER DAY FOR AN INITIAL 6 WEEK CONTRACT.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My blue chip client requires a Network Consultant to assist with the low level design of a migration from existing telephony for one of the clients' customers. This will include installation of both LAN and WAN kit on the customer site and will involve a weekly trip to their offices in Birmingham.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Must be fully capable of independent delivery of LAN technology in to the remote sites
- Full switch configuration for Voice and data for multiple clients on the same LAN
- Must have a full understanding of the WAN constraints and its capability
- Capable of facilitating newly provisioned LAN Switches into HOTS
- Fast track the resolution of any technical issues encountered
- Capable of facilitating and troubleshooting networking routing and DNS issues
- Have the capability to update Firewall rule changes and troubleshoot Firewall rule issues
- Act as the Network Technical Lead and interface with third party organisations
- Can facilitate and manage the Network to Network Interface (NNI) between our client and their customer

LOCATION: Essex (with weekly travel to Birmingham)

SALARY: £400 per day
