Network Analyst Job

NETWORK ANALYST needed for a 12 MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, MO.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Provides daily operations support and maintenance for network systems (including wireless).
- Provides LAN/WAN/Wireless support by monitoring and responding to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems utilizing hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
- Monitors and anticipates potential network wide issues in order to develop and implement solutions that provide stable, dependable network services across multiple platforms.
- Maintains LAN/WAN/wireless operations by working with in house technical resources and hardware/software vendors to ensure timely problem resolution.
- Maintains and utilizes network management applications to identify network faults, to ensure the provision of data or other telecommunications access to customers, and the movement of information from one location to the other.
- Independently consults with outside vendors to establish potential product suitability and design compatibility.
- Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or period of degraded system performance.
- Must be in command of substantial knowledge regarding client's networks in order to interface with vendors to determine possible solutions to network issues.
- Configures and troubleshoots computer networks.
- Handles daily service requests.
- Maintains PBX/systems and associated hardware.
- Monitors networks to provide stable, dependable network services across multiple platforms.
- Monitors and responds to technical control facility hardware and software problems.
- Assists with the installation of terminals and associated hardware.
- Provides rotational on-call support by monitoring the network and receiving incident ticket pages where analysis often must be coordinated between multiple technical groups.

- Ability to budget projects, both equipment and vendors
- Routing and Switching - Basic design and support
- VoIP - Voice issues on an IP network
- Security Protocols
- VLan - Design
- QOS - Design
- Wireless - RF and basic design and support
- Cisco certifications IS a plus
