.NET Developer

GENERAL TASKS OF .NET DEVELOPER:
The .NET Developer is in charge for the technical design and development of applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, maintainability, extensibility, performance, and re-use according to agreed timelines and budgets in order to support the core business processes of the Organization in line with the business needs and quality requirements.
He/she works collaboratively with technical and business team members to develop and maintain business solutions.

CURRENT MISSION EXPECTATIONS
You will be allocated to an application team responsible to migrate several homemade and bought applications and components from Windows 2003 Servers, Oracle 10 databases, and Redhat Linux 10 Servers to Windows 2012 Servers, Oracle 12 databases, and Redhat Linux 12 Servers.

Your main activities are:

Install frameworks, components, databases, and applications on new Servers
Configure frameworks, components, databases, and applications on new Servers
Debug and adapt code of components or applications not compatible to new server and framework versions
Debug and adapt SQL queries not compatible or not performant to new Oracle version
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Write configuration and installation documentation
Transfer configuration and installation knowledge to existing application team
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
Provide technical expertise in the areas of architecture, design, implementation, and testing
Write automated test cases for the updated code area

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND EXPECTED
As a prerequisite to becoming our .net developer, You:

Hold a higher degree in Information Technology or related and have at least 5 years of relevant experience;
Have a strong knowledge of .NET web framework
Are proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems
Have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming
Have a strong experience with installation and configuration of framework, components, applications (in Java or .NET) on Windows 2012 server, Oracle 12 database, and Redhat Linux 12 server
Are proficient in understanding of code versioning tools such as SVN
Have experience with Jenkins for build and deployment
Have skills for writing reusable libraries
Are familiar with Windows Presentation Framework such as Infragistics
Have a good understanding of configuration of server (components and layers), flow and communication protocols such as DLL, web services, ODBC, FTP
Have a basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
Have an experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Nice to have: have an experience in migration project of applications and components from Windows 2003 server, Oracle 10 database, and Redhat Linux 10 server to Windows 2012 server, Oracle 12 database, and Redhat Linux 12 server
