Contract Term
This position closes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17th, 2013.
This is a 6 month contract opportunity with potential to extend. Overview
Our Client is seeking a .NET Developer for work on two projects.
The first project includes enhancements to the existing Unit report (.Net 2.1 Active report).
The other project will include fixes and enhancements to an existing in-house developed web application for housekeeping scheduling functionality (Telerik RadControl). This project purpose is to design and develop a new functionality and migrate data from Access database to Oracle database.
This project will use the Client's Application Architecture Framework which improves code re-use and enhances readiness for SOA and Web Services by providing developers with a standard tool in which to develop web applications. The Client has adopted architecture and design best practices from Microsoft Patterns and Practices. All code is written using these standards. Role and Responsibilities
- Take direction from the IT Project Manager
- Deliver on assigned development focused tasks
- Deploy completed application components into the different environments
- Report to IT Project Manager on progress and issues as they occur
- Ensure consistent and high quality level of code.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proven experience in developing applications using .NET framework (> 3 years)
- Proven experience in developing and implementing web applications and services in a C#.NET 3.0 with Visual Studio 2010 and XML environment (> 3 years)
- Proven experience with Oracle SQL ( > 3 years)
- Knowledge of Oracle database design and scripts
- Experience with Active Reports
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Patterns and Practices
- Experience working in an Agile project methodology.
