NC Programmer

Rate: £35.00 per hour

My client a leading Bristol based manufacturer is currently looking for an experienced NC Programmer to join them on a contract basis for six months. Candidates should have previous experience of industries such as aerospace or precision engineering.

Located within the manufacturing systems team the NC Programmer will provide NC programs to support the drilling and fettling of aerospace components. The role will be highly suited to an experienced Catia V5 programmer.

Key responsibilities
*Converting Catia V5 models into NC Programmes for 2 drilling automation systems being used to manufacture aerospace assemblies
*Working with the production teams to optimise the drilling and fettling processes
*Writing of first aircraft NC programmes and any subsequent modifications
*NC Tape Try Outs (TTO)

Key experience
*Applicants must have the capability to program using Catia V5 within 5-axis (AMG) NC workbench
*Preferably applicants will have the capability to build assemblies with V5 DMU workbench
*Manufacturing Engineering background
*PC and MS Office literate
*Adaptable within reason to provide additional support beyond core hours/support shift patterns if necessarySCom is a trading name of S.com Group Ltd an Employment Business/Agency.
