Mobile QA Engineer

Our client builds, launches, and manages a large scale business on mobile websites and apps across all smartphone and tablet platforms. This team is responsible creating the best shopping experience for customers wherever they go on their favorite mobile devices. To do so, the team builds core shopping features and invents new and innovative ways for customers to interact on their mobile devices.

Solve interesting, real-world challenges - from optimizing content for small screen sizes, developing new ways to shop using tablet computers, overcoming slow networks to inventing different ways customers can interact with mobile devices, including barcode scanning. Enable customers to go from wanting a product to search, shop and buying it in 30 seconds or less! Applications run on a range of mobile handsets and tablets including iOS, Android, Windows Mobile and Blackberry.

We are looking for a Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) with a passion for creating world-class mobile user experiences that meet users' demanding expectations. Mobile QA Engineers understand mobile specific testing challenges and issues. This position requires leading edge test framework/infrastructure development experience and UI Automation language skills such as Objective C, Java, C# or JavaScript on various mobile platforms. Reliance on strong testing methodologies and efficiencies as well as the ability to adapt and apply those sound testing fundamentals to changing requirements and situations is essential. Successful applicants have appreciation of and drive to refine test plans and test cases that can cover multiple technical requirements that will then be automated in one-world user centric UI automation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 5 years relevant work experience, or 6+ years relevant work experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, or PERL
- Strong test aptitude and organization skills
- Experience building and designing test cases
- Experience with testing methodologies (unit, Scrum)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven track record of delivering world-class excellence in user software testing/automation
- 6 or more years of Testing/QA experience
- Two or more years of Mobile Testing/QA experience
- Ability to understand and passion for utilizing mobile devices
- 2 years' experience in UI Automation (preferably on mobile platforms)
- Ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical information to mobile testing situations
- Adaptability and attention to finalizing testing details and duties amidst aggressive time challenges
- Takes full ownership of end-user quality, usability and appeal
- Experience building and testing iPad/iPhone shopping applications
- Apple developer experience/training
- Multi-lingual/Internationalization experience

This contract is expected to be 3 months in duration.
