Mechanical Engineer - Support Engineering - Pro/E, AutoCad - CONTRACT

Duration: Initially 3 months with very likely extensions for 1-2+ Years

Location: Surrey

My client, a global leader in their industry, urgently requires the services of a Contract Mechanical Engineer to join their busy team working on an extensive list of high profile projects. The Mechanical Engineer will be tasked with supporting the Design and Sustaining activities of the department.

Role:
* Investigating the cause of, and possible solutions to product failures
* Monitoring and investigating device/module reliability and work on solutions to overcome problems
* Liaising with customers
* Producing reports as required
* Evaluating, updating and developing support documentation
* Taking responsibility for the smooth transition of designs through Test, Production, Installation and Field Support

Essential Skills/Knowledge:
The successful applicant will possess an HNC or equivalent in an Engineering or related discipline, a good working knowledge of Pro-Engineer and AutoCAD, a strong background in a Mechanical Engineering role and good knowledge of MS Word and Excel packages.

In addition, any previous experience of working to project plans would be highly desirable.
