Material Handler Job

A PLANNER SCHEDULER is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bohemia, NY.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- The specific duties you'll carry out will support keeping production flowing smoothly with the needed parts materials. This ensures a steady supply of products to customers. This is NOT a warehouse/floor position, this is operational in nature. This person will maintain an inventory schedule to make sure there are always enough products and manufacturing materials and they are delivered on time

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- You'll organize and schedule deliveries to customers and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Handling customer complaints involving supply and delivery will also be part of your job.
- Must handle the end to end life of an order for materials
- This person will handle transactional orders in Oracle system regarding materials
- Handle release of orders of materials and tracking of work orders
- Will troubleshoot/problem solve issues
- Will work on backlog of orders - close out, follow up, follow through on material orders

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Two to three (2-3) years handling end to end materials planning in a manufacturing setting
- Prior experience in production control or planning, sourcing, or material control environment
- Prefer previous Oracle or similar order tracking system experience
- Requires logic as to when to open/close orders, have all steps been completed
- Must be intuitive, detailed oriented
- Must be thorough
- Problem Solver to assist "customers"
- Familiar with Bills of Material and configuration control
- Proficient in Web based applications & Microsoft Office
- Excellent Excel skills
- Want an action-oriented person who is able to work and solve problems with a sense of urgency
- This is a twelve (12) month contract, paying $20.93 per hour.
