Level I Computer Technician - Software Validation

SOFTWARE VALIDATION TECH LOUISVILLE, KY 4 MONTH CONTINGENT ROLE

We are seeking a Software Validation Technician, preferably with hardware and software deployment experience in a corporate environment for a 4 month contingent opportunity with CompuCom. Contact us to find out why CompuCom IT Workforce Solutions is the employer of choice for contractors!

OVERVIEW:

- Interacts and communicates directly with high level client personnel.
- Tests configured systems for appropriate software licenses and/or validation and troubleshoots for any errors found.
- Identify appropriate software/freeware, and verify enough licenses needed are on hand.
- Completes all required documentation of installation including a quality assurance sheet when applicable.
- Researches hardware and software literature to keep abreast on new product/service developments and announcements.
- Works with Lead Technicians on difficult to solve problems or configurations.
- Schedules and confirms own appointments and communicates directly with end users when applicable.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Current A+ Certification desirable
- AS Degree in IT/Computer/Software engineering desirable
- Demonstrated organizational skills with strong attention to detail required
- Familiar with enterprise IT environments and processes in a corporate environment
- Ability to be meticulous with tracking data and inventory
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Familiar with database tools such as Microsoft Access and SQL
- Good attention to clerical detail
