LEVEL 2 DESKTOP SUPPORT-IT SUPPORT OFFICER

- MUST BE IMMEDIETLY AVAIBLE- (2 Month contract) Start tomorrow
- Standard working day is 8am until 4:30pm
- $21 per hour (including super)

This is an exciting opportunity for an Desktop support technician/IT Support Officer to join a professional and friendly environment; the successful candidate will provide 1st and 2nd level support of varied technologies, to end users within the organisation.

We are looking for someone who is able to work autonomously and hit the ground running, yet also provide strategic management and planning for resource utilisation in a flexible and appreciative workspace.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be Immediately Available
- 1-2+ years experience in similar roles within medium to large environments
- Strong technical abilities across a broad range of technology
- Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation
- High level of communication skills and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)

Daily to day duties:

- Providing 1st - 2nd level support for clients on all systems
- Arrange and maintain security measures for portable devices.
- Liaise with Network Administrators on connectivity requirements and issues
- Assist with the creation, maintenance & deployment of SOE's
- Provide timely and appropriate change management and documentation of work

Technical Skills

- Windows XP/Vista/7 Workstation
- Microsoft Office
- Windows 2003/2008 Server, Active Directory
- An understanding of networking basics including Routers, Switches and wireless Local Area Networks
- Altiris Deployment Solution and Altiris Computer Management System
- Mac OS X, IPAD support
- VPN technology
- IP Telephony
- Windows Vista/7
- Wireless/802.1x
- SOE creation and maintenance
- VOIP (Mitel) and smart boards
