LEVEL 1 SECURITY ENGINEER
Position: Level 1 Security Engineer
Start: Immediately
Location: Louvain-la-Neuve/Brussels
Day Rate: €400 - €500

PROFILE
- Junior/Experienced system, network or security engineer, proficient in ITIL processes
- Good understanding or experience with security in general, security events and security incidents
- You're fluent in English, and at least in Dutch or French.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Monitor, filter, prioritise and handle security events and incidents as they appear in the SIEM tool
- Handle security incidents according to their procedure and to the defined Security Incident Management Process, within a team working in a 24x7 mode depending on the incident Alert level (Priority 1)
- Troubleshoot and/or escalate incidents to Level 2 Security Expert
- Produce technical security reports and update the client security dashboard
- Provide 1st level client support where needed about identified events
- Team up with Level 2 Security Expert to improve efficiency of monitoring, filtering and handling (eg reduce false positive)
- This Level 1 Security Engineer will receive specific trainings and certifications with the tools (LogRhythm) and SIEM processes (GCIH) in order to become certified security incident handler.
