DETAILS:

- Responsible for strategically supporting our business partners by delivering IT solutions to meet corporate objectives.
- This position may work directly with users at all levels of the organization, defining and then executing the project's goals and scope.
- This person will also be expected to help manage all relationship aspects of the project, including the business partner and vendor teams.
- This role oversees the creation and implementation of the project management plans from estimation to solution delivery for IT projects. This includes ensuring that the different project management disciplines are adhered to (eg, quality assurance, communications plan, change management plan, risk management, issue management, etc.).
- Building interfaces and building out software/system functionality. Focused on software side - not infrastructure.
- Most projects are already underway but there may be some aspects of gathering scope/timeline estimates.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsibility for all phases of the Project Management Lifecycle.
- Accountable for successful execution of the project plan, including timeline, scope and quality (etc.). Risk management principles applied throughout the project, with successful issue resolution or mitigation ongoing, as appropriate.
- Defines and gains concurrence on both the success criteria for the delivery of the project, as well as the ways in which the success of the project will be measured.
- Defines an approach for implementing the project, including creating the project charter or statement of work, creating the schedule, the milestones, the scope, and the asset/resource requirements.
- Defines the rules of engagement for the project, eg, the standards used, the executive sponsorship/governance group and structure, team operating guidelines, issue escalation policies, etc.
- Provide support for SDLC task execution, eg User Stories, Acceptance Criteria/Requirements, Iterations & Releases, Testing, and
- Deployment/Implementation
- Develops the communication plan for key messages, project updates, and key decisions that will be used throughout the project.
- Ability to understand product/system integrations and high level business configurations to support technical requirements and prototype solution proposals for validation.
- Collaboratively work with product owner to determine prioritization of user stories and develop appropriate documents as a part of the system development life cycle.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively work within a project team consisting of business and technical resources to lay out and oversee
- Project Management deliverables.
- Project Teams may include 3rd party vendors.
- Working closely with the business, identify and provide support for Change Management planning and Processes impacted in the business
- Deliver work and solutions on time and in a team environment that builds trust and respect with IT team members and business.
- Facilitate Status and Project Meetings and prepare ongoing notes/action item tracking and progress and risk reporting.

SKILLS:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- 2+ years performing Project Management activities working with both IT and business teams
- Experience with SDLC-type application development and integration projects
- Experience with Agile approach to Project Management a plus
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Word, MS Project.

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES

- This person should be well versed in IT type projects, and able to determine and apply the best Project Management approach for an SDLC type project.
- The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment and will have experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- The ability to multi-task and to be effective on multiple projects at once is a must.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
- Ability to understand & analyze complex IT solution proposals and help guide decision-making
- Ability to build strong partnerships with business clients, technology teams and vendors.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, confident, go-getter attitude
- Experience with configurable enterprise 3rd party Applications and Tools a plus
- A supply chain oriented person would be a plus, but it is definitely not required.
- Agile background a big plus.
