JAVA TECHNICAL LEAD - JAVA, JSP/SERVLETS, JSF, JBOSS, SOA, MAVEN, JENKINS, SELENIUM, WEB, JSF, ORACLE

Our client is looking for a number of Java Technical Leads to join them onsite in Edinburgh on one of the largest and most innovative programmes currently underway in Scotland. 

This primary focus of this role will be to lead development teams, creating level 3 application architecture and Jboss Application requirements configuration. It's therefore essential that you have over 6 years experience of providing services across at least 12 significant clients/projects, acting in a technical lead or senior role for at least 4 significant clients/projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE;

- Technically lead software projects through all stages of the life cycle, including, design, development and acceptance testing
- To produce high quality technical documentation
- To decompose technical tasks and provide accurate estimates
- To coach less experienced members of your team
- To undertake development tasks without supervision, including software designing, programming and testing within a Test-Driven Development process
- To monitor progress and provide updates to the Project Manager
- To understand and apply a formal quality approach

IT IS CRITICAL YOU HAVE SIGNIFICANT, DETAILED EXPERIENCE OF CURRENT JAVA TECHNOLOGIES AND METHODOLOGIES, AND HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

- The application of design patterns
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Relational databases
- Java
- JSP/Servlets
- JSF
- Jboss SOA stack
- Maven (or similar)
- Jenkins (or similar)
- Selenium (or similar)
- Web Front End experience (eg, HTML/CSS/JavaScript,JSF)
- Oracle RDBMS
- Agile development method
- Managing teams of developers and allocating and tracking team work tasks
