Java Technical Lead

JAVA TECHNICAL LEAD

There is an urgent requirement for a Java Technical Lead to join a client in Brussels for a 12 month contract.

Details:

Responsibilities:

- Takes overall responsibility on the detailed design, for all tiers of the solution
- Takes overall responsibility on the implementation of the stories
- Takes overall responsibility on the performance of the solution
- Gives guidance to the developers in the team

Knowledge level:

- Expert in the knowledge of standards and best practices applied throughout the development methodology for Java
- Solid for the database tier to be able to review with the DB specialists the ERD and the physical DB design, and to guaranty best practices ( normalisation, performance )
- Solid for the integration tier
- Solid for security aspects
- In-depth for the entire development process, environment and tools

Technical skills Must have's:

- Object-oriented concepts - Domain Driven Design
- Java programming - XML (SAX, DOM, DTD, XSD, XSLT )
- Eclipse IDE - Subversion and GIT - J2EE: EJB 3.0, including MDB (and JMS), JBoss
- Persistence: SQL, JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, JTA, Oracle - Web: Struts, JSP and Servlets, Web services (SOAP, WSDL, Axis, REST), Apache, (Tomcat)
- Unit testing with JUnit, DBUnit, mocking frameworks

Should have's:
- Client: HTML 5, JavaScript, AJA,
- UML modelling
- Angular JS
- Jira Agile & Confluence (Wiki)
