Java Technical Lead

A reputable financial institution in Boston is actively seeking a Systems Java Technical Lead to be a technical resource for the systems team. In this role you will be designing complex systems and mentoring other members of the team in technical design. You will be producing code for new programs that meet user requirements, analyzing change requests, and working with both internal and external users. In this Technical Lead role, you will be providing team members with feedback, training, and managing staff to ensure sufficient support coverage. Key Tasks Include: - Producing code for new and modified programs to meet user requirements - Actively participating in walk-through to provide feedback in accordance with department guidelines - Integrating larger systems perspective in design and testing - Developing unit test plans to ensure application performance Key Requirements Include: - Bachelor's Degree preferably in a Technical Field - At least 8 years of application development experience - Mainframe experience with COBOL, IBM Websphere, QMF/SPUFI, and CICS - Web Development experience including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, XSLT, Servlets, JSP, and JDBC
