Java - Ecommerce Developer

My client, a well known Liverpool based online retailer, is looking for an Ecommerce Developer that specialises in JavaScript. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Front End implementation of all on site strategic projects and developments, ensuring that the business meets the online commercial and strategic objectives as agreed with the relevant developments and brands.

As an Ecommerce Developer your key responsibilities will include:

Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other specialist software/bespoke systems to deliver all projects, prototypes and site updates.

Developing code which adheres to current SEO, usability and accessibility industry best practices.

Resolving Front End website defects and enhancements within agreed SLA's.

Maintaining best in class expertise within online retail architecture and design. Provide expertise and best practice to the business on usability and accessibility.

Keeping abreast of the marketplace and competitors, informing the business of industry initiatives and key learnings.

Researching, recommending and implementing web best practice and site improvements based on all available material.

Adapting a test, learn & adjust approach to drive online sales growth & website development.

Producing documentation on any new functionality developed and implemented and sharing knowledge with other team members.

The successful Java - Ecommerce Developer will have the following skill set:

Expert level hand-coding skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Educated to Degree level.

Excellent attention to detail and be trustworthy enough to test their work thoroughly.

The ability to work effectively with others and to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High level of personal motivation and business awareness.

Must be very open to change and also be very pro-active and look for new opportunities or improvements.
