Java Developer Credit Risk with profound database knowledge wanted for our Bellinzona based client in the banking sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- At least 4 years' experience working as a Front End Java Developer with 4 years of database experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
- Minimum 3 years' experience of application Servers especially Oracle Weblogic as well as proven track record of good OO design and programming
- Solid web development skills and proficiency of common Java frameworks like Spring and Struts along with understanding of current best practices in Java development
- Excellent understanding of standard change control policies and procedures as well as experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
- Willingness to provide application support to Front Office and Risk management business clients
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Operating directly with allocated Project Managers, Business Analysts and external IT and business teams to perform technical analysis of the existing system
- Applying change requests and new features as well as providing support for the existing systems where required
- Responsibility for changes that go through multiple tiers from the Java application through the Back End databases
- Writing Server Side code to implement business logic as well as amending stored procedures in the Sybase/SQL Server databases
- Ensuring that all code and development practices conform to the company's guidelines and industry's best practices by utilizing standards, architectures and processes
- Taking part in all aspects of the project life cycle following stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with the company's change control processes
