Java Developer (Core & J2EE) Job

SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER (CORE AND J2EE) needed for a SIX (6) PLUS MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ENGLEWOOD, NJ.

THE BIG PICTURE

- Our client currently has 3 members within our team spread across several cross-functional departments. The hiring team just recently hired our Web UX Designer and is now seeking a full-tier end-to-end Agile Java Developer.
- Salary is expected to start at or around $60-65/hr. W2, but open to discuss. As a Developer, you will be working with our team to design and build solutions across our Digital Platform
- Phone interviews will start immediately 12/15/2014 and work starts Jan 2015 after pre-employment conditions are met.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- LANGUAGES AND SOFTWARE PACKAGES: Languages: JAVA (Core Java, Multithreading), Object Oriented languages
- WEB TECHNOLOGIES: XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, OO JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, SOAP and RESTful web services
- FRAMEWORK: MVC Framework like Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Jaxb
- DATABASES: RDBMS like MySQL, Oracle, NO SQL databases
- TOOLS: Git, SVN, Eclipse, Jira
- DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGIES: Agile development

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Participates in component, subsystem and system concept design verifying key design parameters and evaluating design options.
- Participates on multi-functional product research and development teams, product and/or system design reviews.
- Summarizes and presents details of designs, analytical methods and results.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- S. Degree or higher in Computer Science with a minimum of seven (7) plus years of relevant, broad engineering experience is required
- Experience with various Web-based Technologies, OO Modeling, Middleware, Relational Databases and distributed computing technologies
- Possess expert knowledge in Performance, Scalability, Security, Enterprise System Architecture, and Engineering best practices.
- Possess knowledge of a broad range of data structures and algorithms and know how, when and when-not to use them.
- Expertise in all facets of web/application/services development including front- and Back End technologies.
- Experience working on large scale, high traffic web sites/applications.
- Experience working in financial, media domain.

- Strong experience working with multi-site development teams.
- Strong Communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work in a highly collaborative, multi-country/time zone environment.

- Proactive personality with a proven track record of following through and delivering on responsibilities.
- Highly adaptive and capable of being an individual contributor and working as part of an extended team.
