Java Developer - Contract - 6 Month Rolling - Trade Processing/Rates/C

Java Developer for rates derivatives trade processing system. This project is one of the key technology initiatives of Nomura's Global Markets IT Division.

Key objectives critical to success:

Lead Developer role responsible for design and development of strategic global rates derivatives trade processing system and would be expected to lead the programming efforts. The person would be expected to participate in peer code and design review. This is one of the strategic programs of Fixed Income IT. The individual needs to be proactive in understanding the business problem and come up with solutions. The developer may have to interact with business users. The person needs to be very thorough and detailed in their approach. Ability to collaborate along with global teams and deliver global requirements. Demonstrates ability to discuss how abstract concepts of architecture are applied in building tangible and functional systems. Ability to build a system that is high performing, scalable and high available. The individual should be able document design, business processes, interrelationships between business processes etc.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

- Extensive experience in core Java, multi-threading, spring, experience in Messaging (JMS).
- Experience in Agile, lean development principles, test driven and behaviour driven development.
- Experience in financial services either in Fixed Income or equities.

Successful candidates will be engaged under a contract for services by Resource Solutions.
