Java Architect

Cutting edge technology firm in Alpharetta seeking a Java Architect for their product development team. If you are a Java/J2EE Architect/Developer who thrives in a smaller team environment, who is technically savvy, and can solve problems independently than we want you to join our team! You will be architecting new solutions for a multi-million dollar commerce platform using some of the latest technologies on the Java platform. Must have excellent communication skills as you will be communicating with partner/client technical teams to turn business requirements into technical requirements. You will be identifying non-functional business needs in the organization and communicating that to the business. You will be helping select new technologies to meet growing business needs. You will re-factor and improve existing the code base and conduct design and code reviews. You will be responsible for mentoring other developers.

Key skills/attributes required to be successful include positive attitude, 3+ years architecting SOA based distributed systems, Java/J2EE, JPA/Hibernate, Spring, SOAP, Web Services, JMS/ActiveMQ, Maven, REST, JSON. Ideal candidate has solid experience in high-volume web service and web application development. Any experience with eCommerce is a huge plus!

This is a 6 months contract to permanent role in Alpharetta. Will go straight perm for the right candidate and may also consider a long term contract. Background check and drug screen required. Local candidates preferred.
