JAVA Application Developer (JPA/Spring/REST/Weblogic)

JAVA APPLICATION DEVELOPER (JPA/SPRING/REST/WEBLOGIC)

The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on assignment at a large European site in Brussels. The client is seeking a Java Application Developer as follows:- TASKS:

The services required relate to management of document management applications:
- Develop and maintain software applications.
- Develop and integrate technological components.
- Implement user requirements.
- Prototype.
- Elaborate test programs.
- Write technical documentation.
- Assist with system deployment and configuration.
- Participate in meetings with project teams.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

- In-depth knowledge of application development environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Server Side technologies and tools:

o JPA: Hibernate or EclipseLink
o Spring
o Jersey or Spring Rest
o REST/JSON/Jackson or EclipseMoxy
o Weblogic/Tomcat
o Maven

- Basic knowledge of client-side technologies and tools:

o Javascript language techniques (IIFE, closures, Object Oriented JavaScript, memoize, regular expressions)
o Javascript design patterns (GOF patterns in JavaScript, module, Proxy, mixins, pub/sub,mv*)
o JQuery
o AMD: RequireJs or CommonJs
o JQueryUI or KendoUI or YUI
o Knockout or ReactJs or KendoUI MVVM
o Grunt/Bower

- Basic knowledge of testing technologies and tools:

o JUnit/HttpUnit
o Arquillian/Selenium
o Mockito or JMockit or Easy Mock
o Jasmine or QUnit,

- Good knowledge of modelling tools

o Rational Rose/ClearCase/Aris Architect

- Basic knowledge of Continuous integration tools

o Bamboo or Jenkins

- Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
- Good knowledge of Relational DBMS
- Good knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of corporate solutions (such as ECAS, Ulysee, RefApp) is a plus.
- Knowledge of interoperability technologies (eg web services, message oriented Middleware, service oriented bus) is a plus.
- Good redaction skills
- Ability to give technical presentations.
- Ability to apply high quality standards.
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application development.
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills.
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in teams.

The candidate should be fluent in both written and spoken English. He/she should also have a basic understanding of written and spoken French.
