IT Test Engineer Job

IT TEST ENGINEERS are needed for long term contract positions with Yoh's client located in Melbourne, FL (32919).

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Works as part of the Test Engineering team to plan the verification and validation program for the project.
- Translates user requirements and stakeholder input into executable test procedures and scripts under the direction of more experienced personnel.
- Must be able to configure test environments to support running of the software.
- Creates test reports and keeps accurate records on anomalies.
- Contributes to the resolution of defects by working closely with the developers.
- Must have used the Agile Scrum development life cycle and have worked in team settings.
- Must understand the concept of Test Driven Development and have used it to develop code.
- Must be familiar with configuration management and defect resolution cycles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical major. Newly graduated engineers and/or those with equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Experience testing IT hardware, software, systems and networks.
- Experience with the following technologies include:

- Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel
  - SQL
  - Oracle Database
  - Linux
  - SSH
  - Shell Scripting
  - BPMN
  - WODM
  - FileNet

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with the following technologies is preferred but not required:

- XML
  - XSD
  - XSLT
  - Rational Team Concert
  - Rational Requirements Composer
 - Rational Quality Manager
- Experience working on Department of Veteran's Affairs programs and current VA Access.
- Knowledge of CMMI or Department of Veteran's Affairs PMAS and Propath processes.
