IT Specialist/Application Specialists - Websphere - 3 Months

IT SPECIALIST - WEBSPHERE - 3 MONTHS - THE NETHERLANDS

We are looking for a specialist with expertise in translating IT requirements in the design, development, and assembly of components to create custom information systems. Examples of the deliverables are functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation. IT Specialists who primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services and implementation environment.

The senior level system administrator is an individual with extensive product knowledge of WebSphere. The candidate is expected to plan, install and configure the product, implement applications, set up distributed queuing, enable appropriate security, administer and operate a queue manager network, enforce organizational and operational standards, perform basic problem determination and implement clustering and publish/subscribe topologies.

REQUIREMENTS

Working knowledge of supported operating systems (eg, AIX, HPUX, Solaris, i5/OS, Linux on Intel, Linux on zSeries, z/OS, Windows)

Good understanding of messaging concepts as they relate to IBM
-

Basic knowledge of operating WebSphere MQ Explorer
-

Basic understanding of JMS concepts
-

Basic knowledge of networking concepts (eg, TCP/IP, SSL, etc)
-

Min. 5 year experience working as a senior WAS engineer within a project environment
-

Experience of above within a project environment using ITIL and Prince concepts

IBM Foundational Competencies
-

High customer focus whilst ensuring IBMs standards and policies are maintained

Solid business communication skills both written and verbal, English mandatory plus Dutch preferred.

ITIL certification required.

3 month contract with possible extension
