IT Maintenance Coordinator Job

IT MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Washington, DC.

- Preventive Maintenance

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide service and preventive maintenance activities on terminals, printers, desktop computers, etc.
- Experience supporting mobile PPDs (Personal Productivity devices) including Blackberry and iPhone as well as familiarity with Windows 7 and Lotus Notes.
- Makes appropriate use of reference publications and diagnostic aids in resolving technical problems.
- Assist in coordination of changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environment.
- Provide accurate and complete answers to general usage and administrative environment questions in a timely manner.
- Implement shared software, such as operating systems, configuration management tools, application and development tools, testing tools, compilers, and code editors.
- Perform routine service and repairs on industry system products without assistance.
- Take active role in suggesting peripheral equipment.
- Detect and correct equipment errors.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
- Ability to follow quality standards.
- Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.
- Determine time estimates and one's own schedule accordingly to resolve issues in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical principles and basic electronics.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical service manuals and publications.
- Five (5) plus years of IT hardware diagnosis and repair field experience.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics to read and understand various gauges, meters, and measurement devices.
- Able to diagnose and repair products by replacing worn or broken parts, and making technical adjustments.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
- Strong focus on customer service and "going the extra mile."
- AS Degree and/or Certifications is a plus.
