IT Infrastructure Specialist - Linux, Redhat, Certified Engineer

IT INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST - LINUX, REDHAT, CERTIFIED ENGINEER.

Our client is looking for Linus Redhat Certified Engineer to build proof-of-concept solutions with server system technology and architecture server solutions to address client requirements.

Extensive description of the role and responsibilities involved:

- Project support and delivery on Linux:
- Installing Linux based packages
- Create start/stop scripts
- Configure of the Linux setup
- Support the application installations

Skills required:

- Extensive hands-on knowledge and experience;
- (Minimum 3 years) of Redhat 5 and 6 (Linux Redhat Engineer Certification) (LPIC-2 and higher level is required)
- Satelite server
- LVM
- Networking (CCNA and higher level)
- Security
- Additional skills (desired): -Hadoop and Clustering
- RHEL 5.x - 6.x experience 3+ years
- Shell, PERL Scripting
- SELinux
- ITIL

Beneficial Additional skills (Not essential):

AIX, VMWare, RES Automation manager, RHEV, RHCS, J2EE hosting, Hadoop

IBM Server hardware, Tivoli, IBM Lotus Notes

Additional knowledge which is nice to have is SAN Volume Controller (SVC), IBM Storage Manager, SAMBA v3, Active Directory integration, MS Project, Visio, BEA Weblogic v8, MySQL, Apache, Perl, PHP and other related programs

IBM Foundational Competencies:

- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative, results oriented, with analytical skills and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills and has to communicate effectively in technical terms.
- Willing to comply to the standards and processes

Work experience needed:

- At least 5 years experience as a Linux engineer
- Experience working in a large national/international company (enterprise environment, bank)
- Experience with Linux projects from design to implementation
- Experience with Linux security, networking and satellite serverCombination of Linux & Unix skills.
